Care of your Meg & Bee goodies!

Leather and suede are natural materials. Each hide is unique which means differences may occur. This is the beauty of the product; unlike a manmade material.

When caring for your leathers, do not use any chemical products as this can damage not only the leather but the hardware as well. Strong sunlight and wet conditions can also damage leather.

Cleaning

Pebble grain leather: For small marks a thoroughly wrung out soft cloth with mild soapy water should do the trick; do not soak the bag as this will penetrate the leather.

Suede: This is a more delicate leather and needs more care. We recommend you spray a sealer and a waterproofing product approximately every six weeks. Due to the nature of the dying process there may be some colour transfer from the suede. Small stains can easily be brushed off. An absolute no-go is water; this will only make it worse. There is a natural ageing process with suede, especially on more pronounced areas of a bag such as piping, this is to be expected and is not a fault.

Storage

When not in use we recommend storing your bag in your Meg & Bee dustbag in a cool, dry area.
